I went 1-2 on Sunday and easily should have been a 2-1 day, but that's the way it goes. Today I hope to right the ship today.
Womens singles
Varvara Lepchenko (USA citizen via Ursbekistan+4 and a half games) at 5 Dimes is playing Julia Goerges (Germany - 4 and a half games).
V. Lepchenko is ranked 40 th and Goerges is ranked 24 th in the world. Vavara has won the only two times they have played in their careers, most recently this year in Doha in Feb.
In recent activity Varvara has performed well playing in Carlsbad Calif. A week and a half ago and she has performed well beating a few good players. She also played well winning two matches at Wimbledon a month ago.
Julia Goerges has played relatively well of recent, however she played a clay tourney a week and a half ago which did not help her preparation for playing on grass back at Wimbledon , at least playing in a hard court tournament was better preparation than on clay.
I see this match staying close and feel that Varvara can keep it within 4 and a half games. This is good value, all the stats and recent activity I feel gives me an edge in this wager and that's all we are looking for.
